Alicia Witt is an American actress. She was born on August 21, 1975, in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. Alicia is not just an actress but also a singer, songwriter, and pianist. She started as a child actress who was found with talent by David Lynch he cast her in Dune in the year 1984 and also in Twin Peaks in 1990.

She also had a critically acclaimed role in Fun in the year 1994 as a disturbed teenager. Alicia acted in Urban Legend, a horror movie as a college student in the year of 1998. In Mr. Holland’s Opus, she was a music student in 1995. She has shown her talent in movies like Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky in the year 2001, the thriller 88 Minutes in the year 2007, Last Holiday in the year 2006, and Two Weeks Notice in the year 2002.

She has also acted in television series which include, Two and a Half Men, The Librarians, Friday Night Lights, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Orange is the New Black, The Walking Dead,  Nashville, The Mentalist, The Sopranos, Justified, Twin Peaks: The Return, CSI: Miami and Cybill.

Alicia Witt is an American actress who was born to Robert Witt and Diane Pietro. Her father is a science teacher and photographer and a junior high school reading teacher. Alicia’s mother was an American and Guinness World Record holder for having the longest hair between the years 1989 to 1996.

Her brother’s name is Ian. Alicia started to speak at the very age of two and eventually started reading at the age of four and was described as a child prodigy for that.

She had great acting talents at a young age and was recognized by a director none other than David Lynch as mentioned before. He heard that Alicia has recited Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in a television show named That’s Incredible! when she was just a five-year-old.

He eventually, understanding and having a vision of her talents, started to give her projects such as both movie and television shows. She got her high-school equivalency credential at the early age of fourteen.

She has also been in Cecil B. Demented, a John Waters film in the year 2000, with Stephen Dorff and Melanie Griffith, and also with director Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky in the year 2001, along with Tom Cruise.
