Yannis Tsimitselis Early life

Yannis Tsimitselis was born on July 28, 1981, in Zurich, Switzerland. Although he was born outside Greece, he spent much of his childhood in Greece. He grew up in Galatas, near Messolonghi, and later lived in Patras.

His parents’ names are Christos Tsimitselis and Evangelia Tsimitselis. His sibling’s name is Lampros Tsimitselis. His interest in acting eventually led him to Athens. In 1999, at the age of 18, he moved to the Greek capital to pursue professional acting.

He enrolled at the Iasmos Drama School, which was co-founded by respected Greek actor and teacher Vassilis Diamantopoulos. Tsimitselis completed his acting studies there and began preparing himself for a career in theater, television, and cinema.
