James Denton is an American actor and musician he was born on 20th January 1963. He is well-known for his roles as Mike Delfino on a  comedy-drama of ABC Desperate Housewives between 2004-2012 and Hallmark Channel’s comedy-drama series Good Witch (2015-2021).

Early life, Family, and Relationship

James’ birth name is James Thomas Denton Jr. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee he was raised in Goodlettsville which was a nearby place. He was the second child of three children. His father was a dentist who had been in the military and died in the year 1993.

His mother was dead due to breast cancer in the year 2002. James was raised by Southern Baptist and become a Minister of Music in Westmoreland’s Westmoreland United Methodist Church in Tennessee.

Education

He got his schooling done at Goodlettsville High School and after graduating from there he went to the University of Tennessee. He became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity over there.

James also had Television/Journalism as his major and got his degree in Advertising he did sell advertisements for radio stations which happened before he got his spot on the big screen. He started acting when he was 23 in a community theatre in Nashville.

Later of which he moved to California to become a full-time actor. In his early career, he was called and credited as Jamie Denton.

Career, Struggle, Turning Point, and Success

James Denton got his first debut role in A Streetcar Named Desire in a role named Stanley and He was also a member of the  Strawdog Theater Ensemble and The Griffin Theater. He also has many achievements and with a lot of roles it became possible and he also received a lot of awards and nominations.

When he moved to Los Angeles, he did stage performances and also TV series. He has acted in many plays and independent movies which were written by his friend Mike Petty. In Walked Monk James played the role of Steven in the summer of 1999 & Locked Up Down Shorty in which he had the role named Danny in the 2001’s summer. As it went on James had lots of chances and he always put on the right show at right time.
