Lauren Alaina Biography (Age, Height, Weight, Boyfriend, Family, Career & More)

Lauren Alaina (real name Lauren Alaina Kristine Suddeth) quickly became a fan favorite on the list of competitors on American Idol: The Search for a Superstar (2002) Season Ten, known for her unique appearance and devotion to God.

Alaina, who was born and raised in Rossville, Georgia, discovered her talent for singing when her cousin was diagnosed with a brain tumor and convinced her to pursue her singing dreams. She quickly became friends with winner Scotty McCreery during her time on “American Idol.” They were similar in their Christianity, rural roots, and likeability.

Though Scotty won, Lauren was happy to lose to a friend and kissed him repeatedly after the result was announced to what became known as “Proof of McLain,” a couple of nicknames dubbed by Lauren and Scotty’s fans. Lauren played it coy for weeks after, but both she and Scotty have now stated that they are “brother and sister” and “best friends.”

Her new album, “Wildflower,” was released in October of 2011 and has already achieved tremendous success, debuting at number one on iTunes. With her stunning appearance, angelic voice, and endearing sense of humor, one thing is certain: this “Georgia Peach” has talent and will go far.
