Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian-American actor who is also a former singer. He was born on January 19, 1980, in  London, Ontario, Canada. His birth name is Thomas Luke Macfarlane.

He is a well-known actor for playing in Brothers & Sisters an ABC television drama Scotty Wandell between the years 2006-2011. He also acted in the Space television science fiction series, Killjoys between the years 2015-2019 as RAC Agent D’avin Jaqobis and also as the romantic lead in quite a number of Hallmark Channel Christmas movies.

Luke Macfarlane was the son of Thomas and Penny Macfarlane. His father Thomas was the Director of Student Health Services at the University of Western Ontario.

His mother was a nurse in mental health at a  London hospital. On June 12th, 2018, he was naturalized as an American citizen. He has two sisters Rebecca Macfarlane and twin sister Ruth Macfarlane.

Luke Macfarlane has done his schooling at London Central Secondary School with his twin sister Ruth Macfarlane and his older sister Rebecca Macfarlane. He graduated from the Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts later on in which he studied drama at Juilliard, New York.

Luke Macfarlane got a role in which he played along with Cynthia Nixon in Tanner on Tanner, a mini-series by Robert Altman on the Sun Dance Channel. He also got lead roles continuously like on the 2005 FX series Over There as PV2 Frank Dim Dumphy and in the year 2009 a two-part mini-series which was titled Iron Road.

He is very much notable for his character as Scotty Wandell in Brothers & Sister ABC’s project in which he acted as husband to the character Kevin Walker which was acted by Matthew Rhys who was one of the brothers of the show.

Some of his other best-known TV shows include Satisfaction, a Canadian sitcom in which he acted as Jason Howell. Rick Lincoln in The Night Shift of NBC.
