Niall Matter is a Canadian-American actor who was born in  Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on the 20th of October 1980. He wasn’t into an actual acting career for starters and he was injured meeting with a serious accident while working on an oil rig and sustained it and recovered. Since that, he wanted a change of career and made a choice in acting as a full-time. He got his significant breakthrough in the year.

After the same year, he joined the Eureka cast as Zane Donovan, a bad-boy genius. In the Watchmen movie of Zack Snyder, he had a small supporting role which happened in the year 2009.

He also starred as Evan Cross in the series Primaeval: New World in the year 2012. He subsequently moved away from science fiction movies, and also he joined Canadian series such as Remedy, Arctic Air, and When Calls the Heart.

Niall Matter was born to Arthur and Jennifer Matter. He grew up on his parent’s owned dairy farm, He had his previous profession of oil rigging which was passed on to him and he was in the third generation of the passed on.

He worked in Northern Alberta for eight years. In his early teenage years 13, he joined drama classes on the recommendation of his school teacher.

He went on in it with his effort earned he won the Best Actor prize at a provincial drama championship in the year 1999.

As he got himself in trouble at the age of 17 his parents sent him to a three-month stint on the oil rigs to work with his grandfather. Till the age of 25, he worked on the oil rigs with his grandfather and he attended the Vancouver Film School for acting.

Niall Matter got married to Sara Matter in July 2016, and their wedding Ceremony was held in Hawaii. This beautiful couple has two children.

Niall Matter did his first professional acting job in the year 2007, playing the lead role of Josh Riley a bait shop owner in the Loch Ness Terror a Syfy original which was broadcasted as Beyond Loch Ness which also starred Brian Krause and Don S. Davis.

In the process when shooting LochNess, The Best Years producer received an audition tape from him and he got the main cast role of a bartender and a cocaine addict, Trent Hamilton in the first season of the series.
