Murin was born on September 28, 1980, in Hopewell Junction, New York, United States. Her father’s name is Greg Murin and her mother’s name is Kathy Murin. She has three siblings and she is the third child. She attended John Jay Senior High School. In 2002, she graduated from Syracuse University where she majored in musical theatre. In 2015, she married actor and singer Colin Donnell. The couple together has a daughter, Cecily Donnell born on July 14, 2020.
