Dexter Tiewon Gore Jr. was born on September 6, 1993, in Manhattan’s Harlem neighborhood, but had since moved to Chicago, Illinois, and was raised in the city’s Englewood neighbourhood on the city’s South Side. After his mother died in September 2014, he decided to pursue music. In 2016, he got a pink ribbon tattooed on his face to remember his mother, who died of breast cancer.<\/p>\n
