Grobglas was born on May 31, 1984, in Paris, France. Her father’s name is Jean Pierre Grobglas. He is of French-Jewish origin. Her mother’s name is Eva Grobglas. She is a Christian from Austria, who later converted to Judaism. When Yael was two years old, her parents immigrated to Israel and resided in Ra’anana.

From a very young age, she had a talent for performing arts. When she was a teenager, she learned professional dance and ballet. Later, she started her career as a model and participated in many runway shows and advertising campaigns. Though her modeling career was brief, she found her passion for acting.
