Teri Lynn Hatcher who is better known as Teri Hatcher is an American actress, writer, presenter, and former NFL cheerleader. She is well-known for her acting as Lois Lane in the television series, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman between the years 1993 till 1997. She was Paris Carver in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies in the year of 1997. As Susan Mayer in the TV series Desperate Housewives between the year of 2004 till 2012.

She won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy and three Screen Actors Guild Awards and another one for lead actress and two parts of Best Ensemble and was also nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in Primetime Emmy Awards.

Teri Hatcher was born on 8th December 1964 and was also born in Palo Alto, California, USA. She’s the only child of her parents. Her mother Esther Beshur was a computer programmer and her father Owen Walker Hatcher, Jr., was a nuclear physicist and electrical engineer. She has Syrian ancestry from her immigrant maternal grandfather and also Irish, English, and Czech ancestry. She grew up in Sunnyvale, California

Teri Hatcher spent her childhood dancing, fishing, and such things with her father. As for schooling at Fremont High School, she was the captain of the Featherettes, a dance team that had the regular cheerleader stuff looks except for the large headdresses they used to wear. She voted for the Most Likely to Become a Solid Gold Dance in the year 1980. She got graduated in the year of 1982.

Actress Teri was studying acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco when she was also taking a degree course in math and engineering at the De Anza College in Cupertino, California. She also has become a member of the 1984 Gold Rush which is the name of the professional cheerleading award of the American football San Francisco 49ers. She got married to actor Jon Tenney in May of 1994. They were blessed with a daughter Emerson Tenney on the 10th of November 1997.

Career, Struggle, Turning Point, and Success

Teri Hatcher was in Hollywood to give moral support to a friend when in an open casting call. However, she auditioned and won the part of the singing and dancing mermaid for the TV series, The Love Boat in the year 1977. She went on to play Penny Parker who is a ditsy yet sweet-hearted struggling actress on MacGyver in the year 1985.

When the show came to an end she was auditioning for and won the role of smart and savvy Lois Lane on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the year 1993 and when she started she didn’t want to stick with the pretty airhead image of Penny Parker.
