Daisy Ridley the British actress was born in the London borough of Westminster and was brought up in Maida Vale. She is the youngest of the three daughters of her parents and her father Christopher Ridley was a photographer whereas her mother Louise Fawkner-Corbett worked in internal communications for a bank.

She has two elder sisters as said and also two elder half-sisters. Her mother’s family had a military and also a medical background. Her paternal uncle also has served in the military and also has a career as an actor and a playwright. Ridley grandfather John Harry Dunn Ridley, OBE, was head of the Engineering Secretariat in the BBC between the years 1950 to 1965.

She has once stated that as she was a kid her favourite movie was Matilda in the year of 1996 and said that the title character of her movie was her role model and she loved the Harry Potter series whereas she was not that much of a specific fan for Star Wars as a youth.
