She is so known for her being on the regular cast of Saturday Night Live and The Big Gay Sketch Show as a member and also for playing the character of Dr. Jillian Holtzmann in the Ghostbusters reboot which was on screen by the year 2016.

She is well-known for her character works and is also known for her celeb impression of comedian television host Ellen DeGeneres and pop singer Justin Bieber and also some political people who include, Kellyanne Conway, Jeff Sessions, Elizabeth Warren, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Robert Mueller, Betsy DeVos, and Hillary Clinton.

Kate has the honor of being nominated for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics once and four times for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in the Primetime Emmy Awards. Not just that but she has won two times in 2016 and the consecutive year.

Early life, Family and Relationship

Kathryn McKinnon was born on January 6, 1984. She was born and also was raised in the same place of Sea Cliff, New York, USA. Her mother Laura Campbell is a parent educator whereas her father Michael Thomas Berthold is an architect.

Kathryn lost her father when she was eighteen. Being a child she knew to play quite some musical instruments and of that, and she had her piano under her finger at the age of five and a cello with her when she was twelve. She had self-taught guitar playing when she was in her fifteen.

Education

Kate got graduated in 2002 as for High School from North Shore High School & talking about college, Columbia University in 2006 with a major in theatre. She co-founded a comedy group, Tea Party which was based on musical improv comedy.

When in Columbia she starred in three Varsity shows which of those are, The Sound of Muses, Dial D for Deadline & Off-Broadway. She was also been a member of Prangstgrup which was a student comedy group that engaged in recorded elaborate college pranks.

Kate McKinnon’s Success and career

Kate McKinnon got into, The Big Gay Sketch Show, and that too in the original cast which was on Logo TV. She was a cast member in it for three seasons. Kate was in the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City where she performed a live sketch comedy in the year 2008. She was also a voice-over actress and has also voiced characters for the series, Robotomy, Ugly Americans & The Venture Bros.
