On 7 January 1985, Koena Mitra was born in Kolkata, India, to a Bengali family. She has a major in psychology.  In western dance forms, basketball, swimming, and tennis, she is trained. She spent her school life at South Point High School. From Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata, she completed her post-graduate in Psychology. Her parent’s names are Vishwanath Mitra and Krishna Mitra. At first, she started her career with modeling. Then she acting many hit films.

Career & Success Story

While she was still in school, Koena Mitra started her modeling career. In 2001, she won The beauty pageant Gladrags Mega Model India 2001, which she won in 2021. The top-12 semifinalists of Miss Intercontinental Pageant in Germany out of 84 countries, she later becomes one. For Mirinda, Durex, Always, and Playboy Mitra has done commercials, over the year.

In several music videos, including Stereo Nation’s Ishq, Aaj Ki Raat, Akh Teri, and Channo by Jasbir Jassi, she was featured. Her first film appearance was special in Ram Gopal Varma’s Road, was her first film appearance. Her biggest success came with Sanjay Dutt in Musafir, in the song O Saki Saki The movie was produced by Sanjay Gupta and Sanjay Dutt, in 2004.

She played the role of Natasha In the year of 2005 in Hindi film Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. In her next film, Insan In 2006, she appeared in the film Apna Sapna Money Money acting as Julie, she appeared in the same year.  In the films Om Shanti Om and Heyy Babyy as herself, she appeared in 2007.

Controversy

• Against Koena claiming that Koena had borrowed money from Poonam and had failed to return it, Poonam Sethi filed a case, in 2019. The check of Rs. 3 lakhs which bounced at the bank, Koena gave Poonam. A legal notice, Poonam sent Koena, to which Koena didn’t respond. The metropolitan court held Koena guilty, after the hearing of the case, and sentenced her to 6 months of simple imprisonment including the interest component of Rs. 1.64 lakhs the sum of Rs. 4.64 lakhs, which she had to pay to Poonam. She completely denied this case.
• Koena Mitra was troubled by abusive calm from a person, in August 2017, who had been calling her from unknown numbers. Against the person, she registered a case, and the case was booked under section 509 of IPC.
• She was badly criticized For undergoing a disastrous nose job in 2010, she was badly criticized. For these reasons, she lost many projects.
