On 26 June 1996 in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, Ritabhari Chakraborty was born in Brahmin Hindu, Bengali family. From Hariyana Vidya Mandir, Kolkata Ritabhari Chakraborty completed her schooling. From Jadavpur University, Kolkata, she completed her graduation in history honours. In her school days, she was a very talented student. Her parents names are Utpalendu Chakraborty and Satarupa Sanyal. Chitrangada Chakraborty is her sister’s name. With her family, she lives in Kolkata.

When she was still in high school, she started her modeling career. In the Bengali television show Ogo Bodhu Sundari, Ritabhari Chakraborty started as the female protagonist. In another television show, Chokher Tara Tui, she also played the protagonist.
In a music video Orrey Mon alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Ritabhari starred, in 2017, produced by her own production company SCUD. With many popular actors like Kalki Koechlin, Parambrata Chatterjee (Nykaa Tvc), Anurag Kashyap, Rajat Kapoor, Kunal Karan Kapoor (Adda song), and so on, she went on to acting and producing more content.
