Leon G. Thomas III is an American actor, songwriter, singer, and record producer. Being in roles for Broadway and also singing for the voice of Tyrone in the animated series The Backyardigans between the years 2006 till 2008 on Nick Jr channel.

He has also played in the Nickelodeon series Victorious between the years 2010 & 2013 in which he played André Harris. He has received an NAACP Image Award nomination.

Leon did sign up for songwriting at Columbia and Rostrum Records which brought him success under it and he was also a member of the production duo the Rascals.

He also has writing credits on the famous singer Ariana Grande’s song Positions,  Toni Braxton and Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, and also Babyface’s Grammy Award-winning album Love, Marriage & Divorce in the year of 2014.

He himself earned his Grammy Award for the song Gold Roses in the year 2019 for Best Rap Song nomination at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, for co-writing the song.

Early life, Family, and Relationship

Leon Thomas III was born on 1st August 1993 and was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, the USA they later moved to Los Angeles, California, and now reside there. When he was the age of ten he made his Broadway debut in 2003 as Young Simba in the Broadway production of The Lion King in the year 1994.

He was also in the Broadway cast of Tony Kushner’s Caroline, or Change as Jackie Thibodeaux in the year 2004. Leon has toured with the company on its five-month run in San Francisco and Los Angeles. He also performed in the musical version of Alice Walker’s The Color Purple in the year of 1985 which is of Broadway production.

Leon Thomas III appeared in the movie August Rush in the year of 2007 with Robin Williams and Terrence Howard as Arthur. He performed the song La Bamba, and he was the singing voice of Tyrone in The Backyardigans in the year of 2004.

He has also guest-starred on Just Jordan in the year of 2007 & the Jack’s Big Music Show in the year of 2005. Leon also had been in the iCarly in 2007 in the episode iCarly Saves TV as Harper.

He has a main role on Victorious in the year 2010 and in the role of Andre which premiered on Nickelodeon on 27th March 2010.
