Charlotte Gainsbourg was born in the Marylebone area of Central London to the French musician Serge Gainsbourg and English actress and singer Jane Birkin.
Britist Charlotte Gainsbourg was born during the period her parents were at the height of their life in their fame-filled time and they also made headlines in the newspapers for many years prior to the sexually explicit song, Je t’aime… moi non plus and which became the notorious for their turbulent relationship and they had multiple artist collaborations and as a result of these incidents, her birth and childhood was very much publicised.
Charlotte has her surname as Gainsbourg which is her father’s stage name and later of which when she was eighteen years old teenager she changed it to Ginsburg, her father’s legal surname.
