She is the eldest child in her family and she started acting in short films before she was in the cast as a lead actress in the movie A Country Christmas Story along with Dolly Parton, Mary Kay Place, and Megyn Price on Lifetime television.
The very next year she had a recurring role in the TNT post-apocalyptic drama series Falling Skies as Mira. Ross was also in the cast in a series regular role in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series, Greenleaf in the year 2015.
