Katie McGrath the Irish actress was brought up in Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland. Her father Paul works with computers and her mother Mary worked as an Irish designer. Kat has two elder brothers and of them, Sean McGrath is an online media manager and whereas her other brother Rory McGrath is a post-production producer.

Katie has her studies in the International Baccalaureate at St. Andrew’s College which was before graduating from Trinity College, Dublin with a degree in history with a focus on Russian history. She has applied for the Ballygowan, Be the Face of MTV competition at a very young age in which the twenty of the finalists would be allowed for the MTV Lick Party at the Tivoli.
