Kyle Mooney was born on Sep 4, 1984 in San Diego, California, the USA where he was the youngest child of three boys children. His mother was a former reporter for The San Diego Union-Tribune whereas his father Brian Mooney was an environmental consultant and planner.
Kyle is a left-hander and he was near-sighted too. His middle school class chose him to be most likely to become a television star. He got graduated from the Scripps Ranch High School in 2003 where he won the Best Actor as Prospero in Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
He was hailed as the class clown. Kyle studied film at the University of Southern California. He had performed sketch comedy and improv with the collegiate group Commodus Interruptus. Later of which he was at a six-week audition process in the year 2003, he became one of the three new members in the Commodus who included Beck Bennett, and Nick Rutherford.
