Shad Gregory Moss, well-known by his stage name Bow Wow is an American actor, songwriter, and rapper. He became interested in rap music at the age of 3. He was a fan of N.W.A and he began rapping recreationally at the age of 6. Moss was formerly called Lil’ Bow Wow after Snoop Dogg gave him the stage name at a concert in Los Angeles.

In 1999, he sang the song ‘The Stick Up’ for the movie Wild Wild West with his record producer and mentor Jermaine Dupri. His debut album was Beware of Dog in 2000. The album has a single titled Bounce With Me, which features R&B girl group Xscape. The other song was ‘Bow Wow (That’s My Name)’ featuring Snoop Dogg. His second album Doggy Bag was released in 2002 and the single ‘Take Ya Home’ was #72 on the Hot 100.

In 2003, the album Unleashed was released. The first single was Let’s Get Down and the second single was My Baby. His other albums are Wanted, The Price of Fame, and New Jack City II. His upcoming album is Before 30. Bow Wow also collaborated with Omarion for the album Face Off in 2007.
