Story of the Hallmark Movie A Magical Christmas Village
This Hallmark movie is part of its annual Countdown to Christmas. Can a miniature Christmas village heal old wounds and bring love?
Summer (Alison Sweeney) is an architect, who is raising her daughter Chloe (Maesa Nicholson) in a small town. Summer’s mother Vivian (Marlo Thomas) is in need of a place to live. Summer invites her mother to move in with her and Chloe. But their orderly lives become a little less after inviting Vivian. After her arrival, Vivian sets up an heirloom, which is a miniature Christmas village that resembles their town.
She then tells Chloe that the miniature Christmas village grants wishes. When Chloe sets up the figurines, real-life events mimic the scenes she creates. One such event includes Summer’s chance of meeting Ryan (Luke Macfarlane), a newcomer to the town. Summer and Ryan spend more time together and realize that the two have much in common. Slowly, Summer opens up her heart to love again in her life.
As Summer and Vivian are living under one roof, they work towards mending fences as the holiday nears. With the help of the Christmas magic village, the family is brought closer together.
