It was before he got worldwide recognition from the seventh film of the Star Wars series as Finn.

Early life, Family and Relationship

John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega is the birth name of the popular John Boyega. He was born on 17th march 1992 and was born in Peckham, London, England, UK. He was born in the Camberwell district of London and grew up in Peckham.

His parents are Samson Adegboyega who was a Pentecostal minister and Abigail who was a carer and both of them were of Nigerian descent and he also had two elder sisters who are Grace Boyega & Blessing Boyega. He got his first acting role in a play at Oliver Goldsmith Primary School as a leopard. When he was nine he was in another play and was noticed by Teresa Early, who was the artistic director of the learning theatre for young people who live in south London, Theatre Peckham.

He spent time over there after school hours since he was nine till he became fourteen. Rumours were there that his father wanted him to continue with his position as a minister as well. He denied it in an interview with Sam Sanders on Fresh Air, with an answer stating his father was of a support for his theatrical interests.
