John Boyega is a British actor who is the famous for his role as Finn in Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens in the year of 2015. He got his ups in his native land in the United Kingdom on his first role of Moses in the year of 2011 which is a sci-fi comedy movie Attack the Block. It was before he got worldwide recognition from the seventh film of the Star Wars series as Finn.

Some of his other notable works in acting include a historical fiction drama film Half of a Yellow Sun in the year 2013 and four episodes of the TV series 24: Live Another Day in the year of 2014 and also the drama movie Imperial Dreams in the year 2014 and Detroit in the year of 2017 and The circle in the same year as that of the previous.

John Adedayo Bamidele Adegboyega is the birth name of the popular John Boyega. He was born on 17th march 1992 and was born in Peckham, London, England, UK. He was born in the Camberwell district of London and grew up in Peckham.

His parents are Samson Adegboyega who was a Pentecostal minister and Abigail who was a carer and both of them were of Nigerian descent and he also had two elder sisters who are Grace Boyega & Blessing Boyega. He got his first acting role in a play at Oliver Goldsmith Primary School as a leopard. When he was nine he was in another play and was noticed by Teresa Early, who was the artistic director of the learning theatre for young people who live in south London, Theatre Peckham.

He spent time over there after school hours since he was nine till he became fourteen. Rumours were there that his father wanted him to continue with his position as a minister as well. He denied it in an interview with Sam Sanders on Fresh Air, with an answer stating his father was of a support for his theatrical interests.

John Boyega’s Success and career

John Boyega got trained at the Hackney, in the Identity School of Acting. He has also appeared in Six Parties at the National Theatre and Category B which was in the Tricycle Theatre. This was before when he was given the role in Attack the Block in the year of 2011.
