Monifa Days was born in Detroit Michigan and was born on January 28, 1972 and yes she is 54 years old as of the year 2026. Though she was born in Michigan she grew up in Chicago and eventually relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her career in performing arts.
Education
As she grew up Makila studied in the University of Chicago. As for Monifa days’ educational life she got her bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in the Wayne State University where she did it with Acting as her major.
Later of which she went to the University of Illinois. She earned her Masters degree in fine arts there in that University.
After her graduation she helped in founding of a theater company called the Congo Square Theatre Company and performed in various popular plays which are Wedding band, Spunk, The Bluest Eye and Layla’s Dream.

Monifa Days took a major step toward her acting dreams when she entered a TNT-sponsored acting competition. Competing against around 2,500 talented performers, she impressed the judges and emerged as the winner, earning a prize package worth more than $1 million. This achievement became an important milestone in her acting career.
After appearing on television and performing in numerous stage productions, Monifa wanted to give something back to the next generation. She became passionate about mentoring young people who dreamed of becoming actors and became involved with the August Wilson Monologue Program, helping aspiring performers develop their skills and confidence.
